I've memorized every lines and every wrinkle you make when you frown. Sometimes, my imagination takes me to every afternoon spent gazing at your soft, round almond eyes. I laugh silently as I recall your bleak stare and hostile look which unfailingly stops my tracks. Yet, one captivating smile transcends my every emotion of happiness to eternal delight and elating rapture and triumph.

I see you everywhere I go. The stunning sunset that bleed across the sky takes me to a horizon of peace only experienced when I am with you. I hear the sound of your dulcet voice as the waves crash softly to the shore. I feel your delicate and gentle hands as the breeze brush against my cheeks. The image of your face seals the vastness of the clear blue sky. Your scent and those soft, luscious lips are in every rose found in the Garden of Eden. I picture you in every place I go and mirror you in every pleasure and every joy.

I've sketched each curve, each corner, and every inch of everything about you inside my heart. I painted your face in so many vibrant colors. Still, despite my best efforts, I couldn't come any closer to depicting who you really are into words. You consumed me and devoured everything.

Mango or "mangga" in Filipino is one of our country's finest tropical fruit that has been around for more than 300 years. We pride ourself with many varieties of mango products and  it is among the nation’s top three exported fruits-next to pineapple and banana. Our mangoes are reputedly the sweetest mango in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records especially those that come from Guimaras, an island in the Western Visayas region (I tell you, Australians love it!)

Filipinos enjoy eating mangoes in many different ways. I personally like eating "manggang hilaw" or green unripe mango which I dip in "bagoong" or shrimp paste. The mixture of sour and salty taste is so good that it makes my mouth yearn for more. Because we have an abundant supply of mangoes, it can be prepared in so many ways such as puree, juice,  shake and as ice cream. There are mango chips and dried mangoes available in the supermarket. A slice of a fresh sweet, succulent and ripe mango flesh is equivalent to a slice of heaven. It's our national fruit. And it truly deserves it's title.

I have always wanted to write a novel. It took me a few days to write this. Creative writing eh!? It's still a bit rough and maybe I still have a lot of things to learn, but it's a good start for me. And Yes! Jess is me. HAHA!

                        "SNARLED"

God knows I tried. But how pointless is it even to just attempt to break away when you see him innocently flashing his  50,000 megawatt smile at you? A man who is over six feet tall, with dark hair and dark eyes and wears an immaculate suit like James Bond. It's a massacre.

I played it cool and practically stayed up all night to practice my lines. Yes, I came prepared. But God! He was excruciatingly good looking. He literally looks like he walked out from the cover of Vanity Fair magazine. It's a dream to even stand there and look at him.

He walked towards me, and I didn't quite notice that I had been completely motionless the whole time. I could literally hear my pulse beating loudly in my ears. My face was hot and the sight of  him made my cheeks flush beet red. I knew it was going to happen, but I was mighty proud of myself. I was never been so wrong.

I forced myself to stay calm. But somehow I couldn't dismiss the quiver when I said "hi!". I surely didn't know why a wide smile suddenly plastered itself over my face. I never wanted any of this and I thought that if he'd move closer, I'd have epileptic seizure. He didn't move his eyes away from me and I wished that I'd just magically disappear coz it was making me fuzzy. He walked towards  me with an intense stare like that of a lion going for the kill. For one split second I thought he'd murder me!

"I missed you so much Jess." Delivered in the most sincere and touchy-feely tone.

I knew it was a Jedi mind trick and I wasn't suppose to fall for that. I don't know what happened. All I know is that the next minute he was hugging me tightly and enveloping me with his mighty arms. The scent of his familiar perfume can make any woman utterly mesmerized and drain her fears to ashes. Holding him so near led me to my scariest feelings I've been going great lengths to avoid. The feeling was so intense that for a few moments I felt mortified.

"Wait... I came here to tell you something..." I finally said  triumphantly.

He reached for my face and lovingly stroke my cheeks. "What is it Love?".

I rifled through my brain, tried to weaponize myself with a tomahawk missile to atleast respond. But his soft hands made my skin all prickly. I was having convulsions. Different emotions racked my mind. My body and mind were disengaging. That old feeling started to emerge. I thought I've finally ditched them, buried them, but it was there the whole time, just waiting for the right moment to reveal itself. I felt a sudden stab of pain. I wanted to retaliate, but instead I stared at him helplessly.

"I'm so happy to see you." His face was gleaming with delight.

I was paralyzed. My throat suddenly felt tight. My horror was suddenly replaced by longing and anticipation.  Oh God. No...

Got this from a friend's facebook status.. haha..  we all love to hear the truth, don't we?

SIMPLE TRUTH 1
Lovers help each other undress before sex.
However after sex, they always dress on their own.
Simple Truth: In life, no one helps you once you're screwed.

SIMPLE TRUTH 2
When a lady is pregnant, all her friends touch her stomach and say, "Congrats".
But, none of them touch the man's penis and say, "Good job".
Simple Truth: Some members of a team are never appreciated.
...
FIVE Other Simple Truths
1. Money cannot buy happiness, but it's more comfortable to cry in a Mercedes than on a bicycle.
2. Forgive your enemy, but remember the a-hole's name.
3. If you help someone when they're in trouble, they will remember you when they're in trouble again.
4. Many people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them.
5. Alcohol does not solve any problems but then neither does milk.

Bonus Truth:
Condoms don't guarantee safe sex. A friend of mine was wearing one when he was shot by the woman's husband.

Friendship can be synthetic and manufactured.

I wonder why most people are around when things are going good. When you get your new car, they're right there to ride in it. You just got a new job, they're there., you just got paid, they're there. They're there when all those amazing things happen in your life.

But where are they when you can't pay your rent? Where are they when you break your car? When you get evicted? Oh boy! I can't see them. They're not there! There are some people that can easily find their way to the door when it's time for you to deal with some hardship. People who are only hitting us up when they need us.

In a world where almost everything is artificial, you can only count a few who will really be at your side when something totally earth-shattering happens to you. People who are there when you are at your very lowest. Unfortunately, some friendships are not strong enough to hold on in adversity and bad times.

Friendship is not about who left but about who stays with you and weathers each and every storm and I’ve been lucky in this life to have a best friend and a few good friends that I can count on to be there when I need them. There have also been some hard lessons too. I have learned that I trust too much, share too much and give too much some of the time to people who just wouldn’t do the same for me. This has left me a bit more closed off than I used to be. I am slowly learning who is important and who really cares. I am learning who deserves my friendship and who I should forget.
